What is Matrix Repatterning?
Matrix Repatterning is a gentle yet profound manual therapy that uses structural and bioelectric
assessment to identify core injuries. The shape of the body is maintained by a balance of
tension across its entire structure, like one continuous interconnected fabric. When one area of
the body has an injury, it can affect other areas. These restrictions include bioelectric changes
that can disrupt the flow of energy in the body which, in turn, prevents ideal function. Matrix
Repatterning removes these restrictions, layer by layer, through a painless technique that helps
to reduce pain and restore optimal structural balance.
Who can benefit from Matrix Repatterning?
- Anyone who is experiencing concussion or post concussion symptoms
- Athletes with injuries that just won’t go away
- People recovering from surgery, broken bones or fractures
- Children that have had falls and impact injuries
- Fibromyalgia sufferers
- Anyone who has been in an MVA (motor vehicle accident)
- People who suffer from nerve conditions (ex: Trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica)
- Anyone who has experienced life on Earth!
How to prepare for a Matrix Repatterning treatment:
Please wear loose and/or stretchy clothing to your appointment. Unlike typical massage, Matrix
Repatterning is performed fully clothed. It’s also recommended to be well hydrated for your
treatment. Try to get a good night’s sleep the night before your appointment. Make sure you fill
out the Matrix Repatterning intake form ahead of time.
What to expect at the Initial Assessment:
The first session will be a complete assessment which will include an in-depth interview and
testing of various data related to your condition. This may include assessing posture, ranges of
motion, stability, reflexes and other neurological, structural and bioelectric testing. You will be
given a treatment plan this will be followed by a mini treatment.
What to expect during a treatment:
Every session will begin and end with an assessment to demonstrate the effects of treatment
and to track progress. Matrix Repatterning is a very gentle hands-on therapy. You will be asked
to lie on your back or your side, and will move through these positions throughout the treatment,
unless this is not possible for you. In that case, positioning modifications will be made. A
magnetic device will be used to detect bioelectric changes during assessment and to provide
bioelectric stimulation at the restriction site during treatment.
What to expect after a treatment:
Everyone responds to treatment differently. Most people report improved sleep after a Matrix
Repatterning session. Some people might have mild to moderate symptoms post treatment, as
the body adjusts to the changes. These symptoms can feel like the “ghost” of the injury without
the intensity of the real thing.
How long is a typical treatment plan?
Most people see significant improvements in ranges of motion and reduced pain in 8-12
treatments. It is best to space the first 4 treatments 1 week apart from each other. After that,
sessions can be booked further apart.
