The Clinic at Christie

The Do’s & Don’ts of Aquatic Therapy

Now that you’ve booked your first Aquatic Therapy appointment, we wanted to give some guidelines on what you should and should not do to prepare for your first visit.

The Do’s of Aquatic Therapy

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you to fill out all the necessary forms and change prior to your scheduled appointment time.

We will provide towels and a bathrobe, but if you would prefer to bring your own items, please feel free to do so.

Please remember to bring water appropriate clothing such as a swimsuit or something you can easily move in when wet.

Please also bring water-resistant slippers or non-slip shoes. If you don’t have any, you can still use the treadmill without them.

The Don'ts of Aquatic Therapy

Since Aquatic therapy is similar to a pool, we ask that you do not wear the following:

  • Perfume
  • Sunscreen
  • Body oils
  • Creams
  • Deodorants

You also do not need to wear the following:

  • Swim cap
  • Goggles
  • Swim Fins

If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact us at The Clinic at Christie!
